It was a memorable day at the 2023 Replica Tourers Trophy Series at Queensland Raceway. And the sound of engines roared not only for victory but also for a vital cause.

We are thrilled to share the story of how the dedicated efforts of Jordan Walker, a kindergarten teacher at Summers’ kindy, and her family came together to raise awareness for KIF1A and support families impacted by KIF1A Associated Neurological Disorder (KAND).

As one of the racers in the series, Jordan went above and beyond by organising banners and stickers for her car and others in the event, all to spread the word about KIF1A.

As Jordan took to the track, families cheered her on, their spirits high, as they connected over shared experiences. Seeing the KIF1A logo speeding down the track was a powerful reminder of the resilience and determination of everyone involved in this journey. It was truly an uplifting experience giving strength and hope to all.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Jordan and her sister Reese, also a kindergarten teacher, along with the entire Walker family for their relentless support. Their kindness and commitment have helped shine a light on KAND and made a tangible difference through their fundraising efforts. Thanks to their generous work, donations were raised to fund further research with the goal of finding a treatment or cure for KAND.

Thank you to everyone who participated, cheered, donated, and supported. We’re making strides together, fuelled by community and driven by the dream of one day finding a cure.
